Associated Steel carries an excellent selection of wear products suited to meet the needs of your most demanding maintenance applications, including 400BHN and 500BHN wear plate and strips, 600BHN abrasion resistant i.d. pipe, chromium carbide overlay and 14% manganese. These steels are widely used as wear chutes, bucket liners, hoppers, wear screens, conveyors, chain return systems, and deflector plates.

RHINO-TUF® EZ – [AR400 Abrasion Resistant, Alloy Wear Plate]

This is an abrasion resistant, “thru-hardened”, alloy plate (AR400) product. This wear plate offers excellent service for applications where formability, toughness, weldability and abrasion resistance are required. Typical hardness range is 400/440BHN. Typical tensile strength is 180,000 PSI. Carbon Equivalency (CE) of 47.

RHINO-TUF® EZ WEAR BARS & WEAR STRIPS – [AR400 Abrasion Resistant, Alloy Wear Bars & Wear Strips]

Single largest selection of high quality, abrasion resistant ,“thru-hardened” (AR400) bars and strips in North America. They have been manufactured for specific use in many impact and vibration service applications. Typical hardness range is 400/440BHN. This material is formable, weldable and user-friendly.

ULTIMA™ 501 – [AR500 (modified) Abrasion Resistant, Alloy Wear Plate]

This alloy wear (AR500) plate is manufactured to modern steel making technology which incorporates; inclusion shape control, grain refinement, small batch thermal treatment, and low levels of sulfur and phosphorus. It is furnished at a maximum hardness to resist severe abrasion and moderate amounts of impact. Typical hardness range is 475/535BHN. Typical tensile strength is 255,000 PSI. Carbon Equivalency (CE) of 54.

This is an excellent abrasion resistant pipe for applications including wood chips, bottom ash, slurry, rice, sand, coal and stone. It is designed to substantially extend service life where material flow causes premature wear in conveyance systems.

WORKWEAR™ 14 – [11-14% Manganese Steel Wear Plate & Wear Bar]

This is a true austenitic 11-14% manganese product. It exhibits excellent work hardening characteristics in service applications where impact and abrasion are prevalent. This material will work-harden under impact and moderate load up to 500BHN hardness. Material can be welded with standard manganese electrodes.

RHINO-KLAD™ – [Clad Plate – Chromium Carbide Overlay]

High alloy overlay deposit on high strength plate. This process provides a chromium or tungsten carbide overlay metal that is fusion bonded to high quality plate. Bond cannot separate or laminate under moderate abrasion or shock. As deposited, the overlay offers a hardness of Rockwell “C” 60/62.
